In the midst of a dynamic time of reflecting on the past and starting anew, I bring you the all new, fully comprehensive nigelsifantus.com. Here you will find pages dedicated to all the bands I have played with over the past decade with detailed information on each, as well as music both from released albums as well as live cuts. There is also a collaboration page where I have added interesting recordings of side-projects, studio recording projects, and interesting gigs featuring many of the amazing musicians I have been fortunate enough to play with over the years.

I have also gone through the vast archive of my musical past from albums, to studio projects, live recordings, and amazing “caught on tape” jam sessions and have just begun posting it all here for everyone to see.

In addition I will be of course adding all the new things I’ve got going on. My main project right now (in addition to playing jazz gigs) is recording solo music. I’ve been mixing and mashing up my own beats with samples, sound effects and other audio warpings, then making music videos out of them (not intended for mtv or any other station which wouldn’t play music videos anyway). So you will see a lot of those posted here, beginning with my rawest electronic percussion experiments to my newest fully produced video featuring the m.c. Jubei of L Maestro “From 10 to 11”. I’ll also be posting lots of new live show excerpts, studio recordings, journal entries, and other priceless jems that turn up in the archive.

Upon entering the venue, I stumbled into a scene was a truly sureal O.C. experience. A very decent jazz group was playing for a semi large and appreciative audience at a sports bar. It was a lot like seing some cats swinging at a TGI Fridays, and the piano player and band leader, Robert Mullins, could really play. I love these kind of experiences, finding a place where good jazz should not exist but there it is, and people are digging it. On set break I hung out with Mr. Mullins and raped about music, life and the Southern California Jazz scene. After hearing that I was from New York and had gone to the New School, he invited me to sit in on the next set. I’ve been looking to get into some straight ahead swinging so I was enthousiastically down. He called the tune “Tennor Maddness” and I captured the whole thing on my iPhone recorder. Check it…
